Normally the Groups events are based around a motoring theme, as that should cover all of our members - cars drivers and motorcyclists.
17th January 2012
A visit to the new Weymouth Firestation on Radipole Lane will be taking place. In addition a “Firewise” education tour will be conducted. Places are limited, so please reserve your place in advance by contacting Fiona McVey our events co-ordinator. Note the start time for this event is 7.00pm.
21st February 2012
Marion Cox will be talking to the Group about the Perils of being a Journalist.
7th, 14th and 21st March 2012
A series of three lecture evenings will take place. Please see the lecture page for additional details.
17th April 2012
Martin Evans will be taking to the group about the Bloodhound SSC project. This is a combined social event with DWDAM, and will be taking place at The Council Chambers, County Hall, Dorchester. Note this is a change of location from previously published. The Bloodhound SCC project is all about creating a car which will break the current Land Speed Record. At the heart of the car is a 800bhp engine.... come along to find out more.
15th May 2012
Nick Tomlinson will be talking to the group about Dorset Wildlife Trust, and the import role in which they play locally.
12th, 19th and 26th September 2012

All social events are held on the third Tuesday of the month with a start time of 7.30pm at the Sandringham Sports Centre in Dorchester unless otherwise stated, and that all lectures take place a Committee Room One, County Hall, Dorchester.
Do you know an interesting speaker, or can you think of somewhere interesting that the Group could go to and have a tour around? If so then why not let the events team know your ideas - after all we want to organise events that you will attend!
